Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz professionally known by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her Winona in honor of her home town. Michel Horowitz' father was an editor and writer and editor, as was Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder is a Jewish. Ryder believes that her father had a Jewish background. She has a younger brother Uria and two half-siblings Jubal as well as Sunyata. Ryder's family moved from Mendocino County, California when she was seven years old. They didn't even have electricity. Ryder was a consummate bookworm and would spend her days reading books as there was no television. Ryder started taking classes in acting at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983, when she was 12. Lucas The film from 1986 that she was in, was her debut major part. Ryder was 15 at the time she was cast. Ryder was bullied in high school. Ryder hoped her career in acting would end that. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. However, she kept working towards her dreams. Her big break occurred in the year 1988, when Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was able to continue playing roles that were successful in various films. In 1993, she was awarded an Academy Award for The Age of Innocence.
