John Denver is a popular artist and musician who has been able to touch many through his music. A lot of them were inspired by Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell new Mexico, but fell in love Colorado. The singer-songwriter eventually settled in Aspen. A few traveled through Colorado after hearing Denver's popular anthems to his adopted state. G. Brown of Colorado Music Hall of Fame, the hall's curator of fame said: "I don't believe there is another performer that embodies Colorado in the same way as John Denver." Denver was the first Hall of Fame ever to be inducted. Denver has become the image of Colorado for many people all over the world. Through my many travels, I've met a lot of non-Colorado residents. Colorado. They'll beg, "Oh John Denver!" whenever they learn that you're from Colorado. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was Denver's top 10 hit after he performed with small folk music bands. It was co-written by and produced by Bill Danoff. Danoff created the track in conjunction with Johnny Cash in mind but after Denver saw an early rendition he knew right away the track could become a hit single. The song was first recorded several weeks after that Washington D.C. performance.
